New York is a treasure of so many things that is very difficult to select one thing to mention when discussing this wonderful city. If you are a buyer and negotiating born Hunter would be remiss if not head to New York with the idea of finding some fabulous bargains in mind.
I can not imagine many places in the world who have enough the number of options available to New Yorkers on a daily basis. It's hard to imagine that there are people who really have never felt the thrill of getting that the extra percentage off or find perfectly good piece of second hand for less than a quarter of what the item would cost new. At the same time, there are very few things that mentally can justify paying full price.
Maybe that's why New York represents the sky, my purchases. There are so many consignment stores, used clothing stores, vintage clothing shops, and businesses do not stop at clothes. There heading furniture, housewares, even tools can be found at bargain prices in the shipment very specialized and thrift stores. Electronics and appliances can be found in these shops too. It is truly amazing all wonderful things that can be found at bargain basement prices by those who are truly willing to look for them.
In addition to starting many second-hand, and goodwill type stores that you can find in New York, there are also plenty of outlet stores that offer lower prices over recent years or slightly flawed patterns. It's amazing the bargains you can find in these stores have sales. Of course, buying a regular mall just after Christmas or a couple of weeks after school has started can also net some very similar values. The real beauty lies in the fact that you can go to these stores, while sales were up and have wardrobes for your kids for the next school year (provided some unholy sort of abnormal growth acceleration does not occur in the interim).
If shopping for you is more like a calling than an adventure then you should have a great time wandering around the many malls and shopping centers in New York trying to get inside the head of the proximity of so many wonderful business and how everyone in this city is not bankruptcy or serious hoc due to credit cards to spend beyond their limits.
Of course my kryptonite is shoes. I have a very difficult time walk on the sale of shoes, even when I know that the price is not as good as it could or should be. I love shoes, especially Birkenstock. You just do not can buy second hand Birkenstock, and even the sales prices of these shoes are more than you would pay for many full retail. Once I thought they were shoes ugliest on the planet, and while I agree that they are not the most beautiful we are very probably the most comfortable shoes I've used. If ever there was a reality good sales of shoes and a brunette whirlwind rushing by, it's likely that I sang 'See No Evil, Speak No Evil, do no evil "and trying to convince me that does not really Nothing to see here.
